About Us

Mental Health America of Beaufort / Jasper Counties provides education, advocacy, outreach and assistance with the mental health and wellness needs of Beaufort and Jasper Counties. We believe that mental health and wellness are as important to daily function as physical health and wellness. We welcome the opportunity to assist the members of our community to optimize their mental health and wellness through innovative and caring educational programs and services. Further, we believe that proactive community involvement is necessary to ensure that the mental health needs of our communities are being met. We accomplish this through meetings with our legislators and ongoing educational campaigns designed to educate both the lawmakers and the public as to the high stakes involved with the mental health and welfare of our communities. Finally, we are committed to being the voice of those in need. We accomplish this by helping to link individuals with mental health services, education and resources in our community.
